He died on June21, 1876.He was known as Santa Anna .Santa Anna was born to a middle class family in Kalama, Veracruz, Nueva Espuma [known as New Spain]. Santa Anna joined the infantry at age 16. His parents did not approve. The first five years of his military career was spent policing the Provinces Internals Indian tribe. In 1811 he was wondered in left arm with an arrow. In 1821 he made a change in allegiance by joining the Rebels forces. In 1821 Santa Anna declared loyalty top the liberty. In 1822 he became a general of the Mexican army. In 1824 he became the governor of the Mexican state Yucatan. In 1825 he organized an army to crush Texas. In 1836 he was captured by Sam Houston’s army. Later that year he returned to Mexico. He died of old age in the year 1876.
